Squidoo – Free Web builder
Squidoo is a free site that allows you to create single-page websites called lenses. By skillful use of a range of modules and by offering useful information, you can build specialist lenses in order to attract visitors and hopefully, earn money. Users sign up for a free account and create websites on a subject which they think might interest others - adding modules to feature goods from Amazon, Ebay and other affiliate sites. Adsense advertising is already a part of the Squidoo template. Lensmasters receive monthly Paypal payments based on a share of adsense earnings and a commission for the sales earned by their modules. In addition, lensmasters can show their own affiliate links and thereby receive commissions for their own choice of advertisers outside Squidoo. This gives lensmasters three potentials sources of income from one free site!
There are a wide range of template and styles to choose from depending on the approach you wish to take, although most choose the standard template as this allows you to plan what you want rather than having to remove unwanted pre-chosen modules. There’s no skill requirement – if you follow the instructions and experiment, you’ll soon get the hang of it. All you need is an idea!
